Minecraft has released its beta version after a long nail-biting wait from building fanatics from around the world.
The game’s rampant success has caused a stir in the gaming world with its love-it-or-hate-it formula of complete sandbox world freedom to create, but with no guiding plot or story. Over 850,000 mineheads have bought the game since the Alpha release in June last year, with sales figures still going strong.
Here’s a link to the list of changes and updates that Minecraft‘s beta features.
The game’s creator and developer, the one man band Markus Persson, more commonly referred to as Notch, says he has bigger and better plans for the game. Once it’s fully fleshed out, Notch hopes to provide full modding support and plenty of tweaks and turns to keep the crafting/building process fun and fresh.
